If you have seen the TV commercials featuring energetic Jack with his muscles and charisma despite getting on for 100 years old, you have seen Jacks Power Juicer. Or is it the Jack LaLane Power Juicer? Now you’re confused, but you have come online to find out which one it is. Well, folks, here I am to tell you that it is actually Jack LaLanne. But, this guy is so crazy healthy, and so keen on getting the world healthy and fit that I reckon he would be happy to have you think he was called Jack LaLane just so that you stick around long enough to listen to what he has to say about his power juicer. And what IS the deal with his power juicer, anyway?
What’s the deal with Jack LaLane Power Juicer?
Jack LaLanne had the power juicer invented up and distributed nationwide because he could see that people were not eating well. He is is a big advocate of exercise, and he works out for two hours a day even at the age of 96, but he still points out that you can exercise all you want but if you don’t eat right, you will still have trouble getting fat off. And you won’t feel well. Cos you can be skinny as anything but still be unhealthy. Look at a smoker for instance, they might eat a lot of fatty and sugary foods but stay skinny, but that’s because the smoking causes bad health and a lot of the foods they eat won’t be absorbed properly and taken up by the cells where the nourishment and nutrition is needed. But even the smoker needs to start somewhere if they want to improve their life and quit smoking, and I guess this is another way where the LaLane juicer comes in. Juice is a very quick way to absorb nutrients that are necessary for the body. Juice has the nutrients and vitamins and other healthy substances that make up food and they are ready to be absorbed by the body as soon as they start going down inside your tummy! So if you want to start with health somewhere and you don’t know where to start, Jack LaLanne’s great home juicer machine will help you do that.
Benefits of the Jack LaLane juicer over other juicers please?
Well, the LaLane juicer is is great juicer. It’s a centrifugal juicer, so it’s not something that will do the tougher juicing ingredients like sprouts or wheatgrass (at a pinch it will squeeze something out, but not as much as for instance the Angel Juicer will get out of it, so a lot of people won’t put it into Jacks Juicer because it will waste a fair bit in the pulp). And centrifugal juicers are known for being really fast. Way faster than a masticating juicer. OK, so masticating juicers are better in some respects, they will make jucie that keeps longer and contains more of the nutrition of the fruits and vegetables. Because the masticating juicer won’t create any heat, wheras the centrifugal juicer will create some heat. But ultimately, any juice is better than no juice, and some people just can’t stand waiting for their juice longer than they have to so they go straight for the centrifugal juicer, and I don’t condemn that. The Jack LaLane power juicer is very fast, faster than a lot of the centrifugal juicers out there. And yet, it’s no expensive comparitively. That’s because they have a large output, they sell a lot of these machines. So if you are looking for something which is tested by a lot of customers, you can see that Jacks Juicer would be a good bet. It’s not some random company from the backwater of Asia that is going to go bust tomorrow because they make dodgy juicers, know what I mean.
Tell me how I can get started with better health using a Jack LaLane juicer…
Well here at Daily Juicer I most often recommend a simple juice recipe to get you started and it’s by no means the best recipe in the world but I find that most eople can start here because it’s simple, it’s fast, and all the ingredients are readily available. Plus, you can put less or more of something if youdont’ have it all, and it’s still good. You can also add other stuff, I will mention that last.
- 1 bunch of celery
- 1 pound or 1 bag carrots
- 1-2 green peppers (capsicum – not chilli!)
- 1 inch of ginger root, peeled
- 3 apples
You can also add beets (beetroot), cucumber, watermelon, pear… a lot of things will go easily innto this mix and it will taste good.
I just chop them all up to the size of your juicer chute, and poke ’em down! Best thing about this juicer recipe is that it’s so forgiving.
It will taste a little salty if it is the first time you have tried celery juice in a mix, because celery juice actually contains a lot of the essential salts that the body and blood needs. So don’t shy away from it, but if it looks a little green to you the first few times then drink it from a straw. The way you curl your tongue when you drink from a straw causes you to taste more of the sweetness of a drink, so this can work well if you are nervous about it or if you are giving the juice drink to your kids – they will love it even more if you get bendy straws (there is kid magic in bendy straws some how!)….
